Out Back Learning serves children and families in Sierra Vista, Arizona and the surrounding area.
Mrs. Dee offers a 4:1 children to teacher ratio. Each child and family receive the care and attention they need to thrive!

Enrollment Process
1. Submit your questions
The first step is to submit your questions and share details about your child. Mrs. Dee will respond and share more details about Fall 2024 enrollment.
2. Register your child
If you and Mrs. Dee determine you are a good match for one another, you can reserve a spot for your child by paying the registration deposit.
If you are not ready to enroll, you can ask to be put on our waitlist to be notified as the school year approaches if there are still spaces available.
3. See you on our first day!
After you register, we're ready for you to join us on our first session on Tuesday August 20 2024! Mrs. Dee is so excited to learn and play with you.
Schedule
School-year (August - May)
Out Back Learning's first day is Tuesday August 20 2024. We are open August through Thursday May 8 2025.
One-of-a-Kind Calendar of Care
Out Back Learning runs a distinct schedule to serve families who are looking for more flexibility to tend to errands, remote work, and receive excellent low ratio care for their children. Mrs. Dee is a full-time college professor, which means that Out Back Learning is open on a schedule that varies month to month. All days of care for the school year are already set in place. You can refer to our calendar below for the scheduled days of care.
Optional: Extended Before and After Care
Enrolled children are welcome to join in every session or once in awhile for Before Care starting at 7:30am and stay until 11:30am for After Care. Families can pay the drop-in rate whenever they need extra care for their children.
Tuition
Registration Deposit
Our registration deposit is $50. This is a non-refundable deposit.
10 Equal Installments
For the 2024 - 2025 school year, our monthly tuition is $250.
For your convenience, tuition payments are divided into 10 equal installments.
Tuition includes:
- Two - three weekly sessions, most Tuesdays and Thursdays and Mondays once a month,
- Nutritious snacks,
- Out Back Learning backpack,
- Books for parents and children,
- and gardening take-home activities galore!
Before and After Care
Want more time at the Out Back?
Drop-in rates are available if you need additional care every now and then or every time we meet!
- Before Care: 7:30am - 8:15an
- After Care: 10:45am - 11:30am
- Payment: $10 per drop-in for either before or after care, $20 for both before and after care
2024 - 2025 Calendar
Out Back Learning runs a particular schedule due to Mrs. Dee serving as a full-time college professor at Tohono Oʼodham Community College. Out Back is open at specific times to offer flexibility to parents and primary caregivers who work remotely, need to run errands, and want to give their children learning experiences where they can thrive and deepen their connections with nature, community, and one another.
